Current Favourites

Saturday, 1 October 2016

Safe to say I've been a bit m.i.a from blogging and social media (except twitter) for the past week. The easiest explanation is that life's just got in the way; I've had such a mad week, it's been a busy week interning prepping for the show this weekend. I've been home (back to Derby) twice in a week and I've pulled extra shifts at my part time job. So updating my instagram and putting up blog posts just hasn't managed to fit into this weeks schedule. But I'm back tonight with a current favourites post. I've not posted one of these in months! So these are some things I've been loving through out September and the end of August.

This was totally an impulse buy, I'm not going to lie. I was doing my weekly shop in Sainsburies and I saw it was on offer for £10. The marble and rose gold totally pulled me in.. I'd seen this floating around on social media and I'm familiar with Niomi's youtube channel but I didn't know much about her until I bought this book. I've had a good read through, and it's honestly amazing. I've made one of the smoothie recipes, the blueberry one and it's delicious and SO filling! I've also been collecting ingredients for the popcorn bars. I'm literally dying to make these. I just need to find some Caoco Butter and then I'm all good to go! If you're hesitating about buying this then you should just do it! You definitely won't regret it.

I've been meaning to pick this up since Sammi (Samantha Maria) was on the cover. But I never got round to it, but when Victoria was revealed as the cover star (She's my absolutely goals for life- she's literally so inspirational) I dashed into WhSmiths to grab a copy. It was such a good read, and I've discovered so many other bloggers through it! I'll definitely be picking up the next issue!

I got my hair dyed in the last week of August, and whilst I was at the hairdressers I picked up this little leave in conditioner. It's a 'beautifying silver spray' so it's basically going to help prevent my blonde from going brassy and it provides shine! It's a great product that i'll definitely be repurchasing. A little bit of this goes a long way, so I think it will last me months!

This has been mentioned a few times before, but honestly it's one of my holy grail products. It's always one of the first things to go in my makeup bag, and it's such a great product to throw on when you a) don't know how you want to do your makeup that day, or b) you're in a rush. It works great on it's own and as a base. It's so affordable as well, and the packaging is absolutely gorgeous.

I've been meaning to pick this up for absolutely ages! Probably about a year now, but for some reason I always put it back down. I finally got my hands on it and it's amazing. Total bargain at £3! You only need a tiny bit, josh has pointed out a couple of times if I've been a bit too heavy handed with it haha! If you're wanting a great highlighter but don't want to spend a fortune then I'd definitely recommend this one.

I've been loving Velvet Teddy ever since I got my hands on it, but recently I've been overlining my lips slightly more than usual and popping this on top. Maybe it's because we've well and truly into Autumn now, but I'm loving matte lips at the moment.

A compact mirror is an essential for every handbag, as handy as phone screens are to check if your lips is smudged you can't see clearly enough to reapply your makeup as well as you could in a proper mirror. This beauty from Ted Baker was actually part of a gift set I received for Christmas a year or so ago, and It's the perfect size for your handbag. The mirror is on both the top and bottom and it's rose gold, which means automatic plus points from me! I've been grabbing this so much more lately.

So here's my little list of favourites, have you tried any of these products? I'd love to know what you think!

With Love; Em x
