2016 Goals

Wednesday, 31 August 2016

I thought it fitting to end my month of posting everyday by setting some little goals for myself, that I'm hoping to achieve by the end of the year. Some lifestyle, some blog related, just little bits that I'd love to achieve by the end of the year.

Blog:

Instagram: I'd absolutely love to reach 750 followers by the end of the year. I'm slowly getting there, but I'm super happy with how my grid is looking at the moment

Pinterest: I'm working hard trying to get my pinterest on point at the moment. I'd love to reach 100 followers by the end of the year.

Blog: Although it's not all about the followers, which I totally understand. I'm working so hard on my blog at the moment and I'd really love to get to 350 followers on bloglovin' by Christmas, that might seem like a big goal, especially because I'm not gaining that many followers per week. But I think if I continue to put a lot of effort in than it might happen!

Blog Chats: I'm yet to participate in a twitter chat yet! It sounds silly but the more I think about it the more nervous I get about it. I just need to bite the bullet and just join in!

Meet More Bloggers: I guess joining in the twitter chats would help a great deal with this, but I'd love to meet some more blogger friends before the end of the year. The blogging community is such a lovely one and I'd love to be more involved!

Lifestyle:

Routine: I'd love to be in a more settled routine by the end of 2016. August has been super busy, starting a new placement, moving into a new flat and coming home for the last week of the month has meant that I've been unable to get sorted and settled into a proper routine. So this is a major goal for the next few months.

Healthier Lifestyle: By this I don't mean dieting. I love food more than I love most people (sorry not sorry) so a diet is not on the cards for me. But eating healthier meals, with better portion sizes is definitely a more achievable goal for me. Also cutting out on snacking as much would be wonderful.

Keeping in Contact with my far away friends: Whether it's my uni gals that are out and about on their placements in a different city or my longest bestie who's in New Zealand or my main gal from back home. I'd love to be talking to them all more regularly, keeping in touch these days is so simple, but with interning, working part time and blogging sending them a quick message can get put to the back of the list unfortunately.

Calling my grandparents more: I'm lucky enough to have 3 grandparents still going strong, and few step grandparents. So I'd love to keep in touch with them all a bit more. I'm pretty damn close with both my mum and my dads parents which is great, but we never talk as much whilst I'm away at university. So I'm going to make more of an effort to give them a call once a week or so.

The Outfit:
I've been loving these embroidered jeans so much, and I've worn them to death the past week or so. I styled them with this simple nude suede top and my strappy heels. I took my new bag on it's first outing on Monday and It's save to say I'm totally in love with it. It's a pretty simple outfit but it felt like me, I kept my makeup simple, with some pinky tones to pick up the pink in the top and the jeans.

I'd love to know what you'd like to achieve by the end of the year! Let me know in the comments or tweet me @EmjaneMac

And I'd just like to say, thank you for sticking with me through the month of August. It's been mental but I'm so proud of myself for not missing a single day, even if some of the posts went up very late. I'll be taking a few days off to catch up with some things. But next week I'll be back with a shiny new post, so keep your eyes peeled for that. And in the meantime feel free to follow me on social media:

With Love; Em x
