Liz Earle First Impressions

After wanting to try the Liz Earle cleanse and polish for what seems like forever, I finally caved and not only bought the cleanser but the toner and moisturiser as well. And I received the face wash as a free gift when I bought the set. I've been using it every morning and every night religiously for over a week now and safe to say I love it. It's definitely made my skin look healthier overall and although it hasn't gotten rid of my spots completely it's definitely helping them move along a lot faster. The scent of the range is so lovely, it smells just like a spa, but it's definitely not too overwhelming. Due to my skin being very slightly dry but with an oily T-Zone I was advised to buy the Normal/Combination set, as that's what will suit my skin best.

The Cleanser
Although I'd heard lots of lovely things about this product, I was still surprised at what a lovely nourishing consistency it is and how easy it applies, the cloths are 100% cotton and remove the cleanser like a charm. It does remove makeup but I prefer to remove my makeup with my normal removers because on a daily basis I wear my brows, winged liner, water proof mascara and lipstick and my base; and I don't fancy attempting to scrub that off with the cleanser. It also means I don't use as much of the cleanser, and as a student and at £15 a bottle I want it to last as long as possible.

The Toner
The scent of this is my favourite, it's so refreshing! I pop a bit of this on a cotton pad and then wipe over my face in circular motions after I've cleansed. It's a lovely change to my routine as I didn't previously use a toner before purchasing this set.

The Moisturiser
This is the product I was most surprised with.. I do love it, but it's such a thick and rich consistency I feel that it's a little too much for my skin twice a day, so after using it twice a day for the first week. I'm going to only use it in the evenings and see how that works for me. Being as I have a very nourishing primer that I use in the morning before I apply my makeup.

Face Wash
I was very pleased with this free gift, with my skin being prone to spots, a face wash is something that I will benefit from greatly. I love this face wash, it's gentle whilst exfoliating. I really like this product and I'm really glad that I received it as my free gift!

Overall, I would really recommend this cleanse-tone-moisturise set, if your looking to get into a skincare routine or change up your existing one. At the moment Liz Earle have a great deal online, where you can get the set plus a shampoo and conditioner for only £45! Which is what I payed for mine, so it's a really good offer!

Keep your eyes peeled for an outfit post which will be up next, but for now.. Have a little look at my previous post if you want some Travel Inspiration or just too look at some pretty pictures, if I do say so myself.

With Love;

  1. That box is such good value. I've actually never tried any Liz Earle products so it would be different to my usual Clinique. I especially love rich moisturisers! xx
