TRAVEL: Throwback Singapore

Monday, 22 February 2016

The summer of 2014 was a busy one for me, spending 2 weeks in Cuba (catch the posts here and here) and then 48 hours after arriving back in the UK we went to Malaysia for 4 weeks to meet my step mum's family and explore Malaysia.

We were based in Johor Bahru (where my step mum's family lived) for most of our trip, we then went to other areas of the country for a few days at a time. Our first little trip out of JB was to Singapore for the day, so we hopped in a taxi and within a couple hours we were there! When we arrived it was pouring down with rain, so we waited the rain out then wandered round getting to know the city. We stopped off in China Town enjoyed some delicious Dim Sum for lunch and a look around the market stalls we had another wander round then jumped on a boat for a tour of the cities most famous sights before stopping off for dinner at a seafood restaurant on the side of the river and having a drink at the bar. It was a lovely day overall and the parts of the city that we saw were beautiful. Definitely somewhere I would love to revisit.

Stay tuned for the next throwback travel post.. it's all about our weekend on an island which was pretty much paradise.

With Love;
